Rare Austrian Capo restored
Our German OldVelo and website contributor, Günter Rottler, now living in the beautiful Austrian city of Vienna has just completed a very sympathetic restoration of a Austrian ‘Capo’ bicycle.
The Capo brand was started by Otto Cap (a former racing cyclist) in 1930 and the brand continues to this day. Have a look at their website for more information <click here>
Their frames were famous for their ornate lug and lavish chroming. Have a look at the beautiful fork crown in the gallery below! They even made their own derailleurs in the 1950’s.
Below are some ‘before and after’ photos of restoration, hopefully we will have more soon, if we are lucky it could even make it as ‘Bike of the Month’!
