Bike of the Month – July 2022

This month’s ‘Bike of the Month’ is from the collection of Jaime Castellanos, who is originally from Spain but now is living in Dublin. Jaime spent some time getting this bike right and we think you will agree he has really ‘nailed it’!

We are hoping to see this bike at the ‘OldVelos Festival of Cycling’ at Curraghmore House in September. Maybe this is the bike to bring the ‘Longford Tractor Spares Trophy’ back to Dublin after spending two years in the hands of Fintan Foley in Kerry.

The full groupset of this bike is a 8speed Campagnolo Record and is period correct and corresponds to the year of manufacture of the bike frame. The wheels are also period correct Campagnolo Vento 16 HPW with record hubs. Stem and handlebars are Cinelli. Paint work and decals are all original with no restoration done. The Colnago pantograph has been carefully repainted as original with gold paint. Cable housing is also NOS Campagnolo.
