OldVelos Vintage Classic 2016

This years Oldvelos Classic will be held on Saturday 17th September in Killarney

This is your chance to relive your ‘Glory Days’ on the a bike that you may have lusted after in your youth.  This will be the second OldVelos Vintage  Classic and we are hoping to improve on last years successful event.  The event which commemorates the Nissan International Classic is run on a choice of 60 or 75 mile routes through the stunning Kerry mountains.  Riders will face the Gap of Dunloe, Black Valley, Bealach Béime and the shores of Carragh Lake all on vintage steel bikes and wearing their favourite woollen jerseys. The free vintage expo will host a collection of bikes, clothing and memorabilia from Irish professional and amateur riders as well as showing off the craftsmanship, variety and evolution of racing bikes from the 1930’s onwards.  A great opportunity to reminisce on the past or to prepare for your future vintage bike build.

OldVelos was honoured to have the Vintage International Classic nominated in 2015 for the Best Leisure Cycle Event in the Cycling Ireland awards. Let’s hope 2016 will be an equally vintage year!
