OldVelos Concours d’Elegance 2022

The judges must agree on the scores before final assessment

The Concours d’Elegance at the OldVelos Cycling Festival always attracts some outstanding bicycles and this year was no different. The judging is by a panel of experienced judges operating to a very strict marking system covering the different categories. The results are sometimes surprising but we hope they accurately reflect the hard work, dedication and love that participants put into their bicycles. One thing we are certain of is that this event brings a lot of pleasure to both visitors and participants and sometimes inspires potential OldVelos to resurrect their first love and once again experience the joy it gave them in earlier days.

Every year we also allow public have their say and select the ‘Peoples Choice’. This year the winner of this category was enjoyed by three generations of same family before undergoing a full restoration. We feel this really reflects what OldVelos is all about, the joy of resurrecting and riding pre-loved bicycles
