OldVelos Vintage Classic Twine & Tweed Run, Saturday 13th July
CURRAGHMORE LOOP (25M/40K)
Who’s it for? This is an accessible route open to all leisure cyclists whether on high nellys or bikes of all ages.
What’s it like? The Curraghmore Loop is a gentle route which proceeds east from Kilmacthomas on the Waterford Greenway, joining the main thoroughfare *caution traffic* at Kilmeaden and heads north to Portlaw. Skirting Portlaw we then enter the Curraghmore Estate and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, trees, hills and wildlife. The unpaved avenue *caution pheasants* brings us to the House itself where cyclists will enjoy a special picnic. OldVelos has also organised free entry to the Gardens for Curraghmore Loop cyclists. The cycle then leaves the western exit of Curraghmore Estate *caution traffic* and returns southwards to Kilmacthomas on some rolling roads of the R676 before heading throuigh Newtown and re-joining the Waterford Greenway at Kilmacthomas Garda station and returning to Coach House Coffee.
